My schedule will not be my own, but wanted to give some updates on cities I will be in in case it is "easy" for bloggers and/or TWN readers to enjoy a cappuccino and politics chat.
Here goes:
March 8 New York (afternoon only)March 9 Haifa
March 10 Haifa/Sea of Galilee/Northern Israel
March 11 Golan Heights/Jerusalem
March 12 Jerusalem
March 13 Jerusalem
March 14 Jericho/Ramallah
March 15 New York
March 16 Tulsa
March 17 Return to Washington, DC
I'll be blogging through it all. And I'll probably be sneaking out to places and meetings not on the above formal itinerary.
More later.

Busy guy!
If you come to Denver I'll take you to lunch or coffee or something.
Steve:
If you're going to Israel and the West Bank, be careful with that sneaking stuff. The Israeli Gestapo will have their eye on you. You won't want to be around or near the new Palestinian Prime Minister either. The Israelis are going to kill him. Yikes, those Israelis are a touchy bunch.
Steve,
So I trust you'll have the Clemons Plan ready to unveil by the time you get back? :)
Kiddding aside, have a good (and safe) trip!
I'm a Hunter College student in the city and I'd sure like to have a coffee and talk politics. Specifically discussing last night's Democracy Now and Eric Alterman's article on Journalism in the Nation..
What's with the aversion to crossing west of the Rockie Mountains?
Can we get a group together somewhere in NYC? Would like to hear what you have to say about Francis Fukuyama and the coming Iranian oil bourse in connection to what Israel is now chest bumping about as well as what went on at the AIPAC conference.
GQ: I love the area west of the Rockies -- and was in SF recently. I hope to be in Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles before long, but meetings still being sorted out.
ManagedChaos, if folks want to meet late afternoon on the 15th, see if any gather. I arrive at 3:30 -- so need at least an hour and a half to get into the city.
best,
Steve Clemons
I know that I must be missing something but you post listing your stops, are you not leaving out the specific locations withing the posted locations?
Hi Steve:
Any plans to visit Tokyo sometime this summer?
If only you would be in Tulsa on a weekend, I'd run up to catch a cup of coffee.
I've seen downtown Tulsa on a weekend. There's no life there. :^)
And I was just going to ask you to keep an eye open for cherry blossoms Steve. Any one else in the area? Any pink blossoms yet? You can leave a note on my travel blog.
Safe travels Steve.
Thanks.
Didn't notice where and when you plan to meet with Palestinians?
Steve,
I'm a Tulsan for about the past eight years and love the town. The above comment that the downtown is dead during non-working hours is correct but quickly changing due to the recently passed "vision 2025" that is aimed at revitilizing downtown. I was suprised to see you coming here. Any particular reason you are coming here that you feel comfortable telling us about? I would love to chat if you are meeting people here.
Joe
Hi Joe,
No insult intended. I spent about a year on and off consulting at the Williams Towers in downtown 1998 - 1999. Come 6 pm the only choices for dinner were the Adams Mark hotel or the Spaghetti Factory. The hotel was the best, because the servers were performers next door at the performing arts center and sang through out dinner.
Once outside of downtown there was plenty to do.
does anyone know the location of steves' presence in ny on 3-15?
just naming the cities doesn't quite cut it.
Please post any info if available.
Late afternoon the 15th sounds good. I work, but can slip out for a few minutes if the gathering is downtown. Steve, I think if you don't plan to coordinate, you should ask someone else to do so. Otherwise it won't be coordinated at all.
