It might be a good idea for Steve to suggest something of the context of Sen. Obama's remarks, rather than just quoting a letter to him. I note the views of this group of Iowa Democrats, but they really don't tell us very much about Obama's own.

To all: Grand Moff Texas struck me as another Robert Morrow clone. If you read the Jerusalem Post or Ha'aretz like I do, you will find many posters who claim "Palestinians don't exist." Sometimes you get tired of the irony....

From just a glance at the list I see we have Iowa's three major universities, the most populous city(by far), and the mosque congregation covered. Plus someone must have relatives in Muscatine. Now, except for the mosque members, may we hear from the real Iowans?

I guess it's not your day. I believe the sentence would be read "other than" mosque members. I meant to differentiate between native Iowans and academics and the urban downtrodden. Just nudging to a DLC position-where I wouldn't want to be, but then I wouldn't want to be a Democrat, either.

This letter is good....an indication that some are coming from behind the curve.

They have to pentrate congress though (or throw them out,which is my choice) to effect any change on this Israeli fetish.

Again, Israel's interest should have nothing to do with US elections, at best Israel should be discussed as what it is, a country that is a foreign policy problem for the US, nothing more.

Get rid of AIPAC'ers and Israel will go back to it's proper place in US concerns.

Exactly. It's not the event but our individual perception of it that often determines whether an experience/event is "good" or "bad".
A "new" concept has emerged based on this old knowledge-it now referred to as "reframing" an experience.
