I wonder why the author doesn't mention any of the myspace accounts of white Christians who spew forth hate and violent words towards Muslims and Arabs? Does the author think that that sort of hatred is okay, because, hey at least they are Christian, right? If hatred comes from Christianity, it's okay, because at least Christians believe Christ is divine. Poor Muslim saps think he was just a prophet.

I tend to think movements like this don't catch on too well with the majority ...but then you never know what something like this will go. Fear hate and racism is a big industry right now. The first thing that occured to me after reading this is that parents really are the only firewall between kids and propaganda.
I don't know but it seems to me that a lot of parents these days aren't concentrating on developing their children's character as much as they are focused on their social and sports activities.

All of her papers have titles which are critical of Islam. This sort of thing is truly frightening; the worst thing about it is that it has the potential to create sectarian strife here in the U.S. This sentence from her bio should give readers pause:

Well, if you enjoy your kids being subjected to calls for death to America, and having them exposed to images glorifying the blowing up of US soldiers, then I can see the need for Ms MacAllen's postings.

Let's have a little balance here. Many forms of Islam ARE inimical to women's rights, at least in the Western sense. Think about the honor killings for starters. The burqas for a second course. The probhibition against driving or even going out shopping without a male companion. It's not surprising that a lot of Western women have a lot of problems with Islam.

In truth, a KKK website is far less disturbing than sites such as this "Family Security Matters" site. At least with a KKK site, you know what they are selling, because the hatred and bigotry is offered openly and brazenly. But at this "Family Security Matters" abomination, the bigotry and hatred is clumsily concealed under the guise of concern for our children. It is this exact kind of bigotry, passed from one generation to the next that begets the kind of bloodshed we see between the Israelis and the Palestinians, or the various Islamic sects in Iraq.

I don't know, maybe our kids SHOULD see the carnage that such hatred begets. Then, perhaps, they could learn to truly realize the danger that bigotry, (such as is displayed on this "Family Security Matters" site), poses to society and mankind's hope for a more peaceful and tolerant future.

Theres a huge difference between "having a problem" with some Islamic religious tenets concerning women, and outright religious bigotry, MP. Are you claiming there is no bigotry expressed on the site Steve linked to?

Or perhaps the only bigotry you will admit to being an issue is anti-semitism.

Billmon wrote something about this on his blog (back when he still had a blog). He noted the rather striking similarities between the archtypical images used by Family Security Matters (home, hearth, adorable, pig-tailed Aryan girls) and the favorite propaganda themes of an extreme right-wing party that became rather famous in Germany during the 1930s.

A few days later, I checked back at the site -- they had abruptly replaced the Aryan family with an Asian one.

But I guess they've gone back to the original concept. When something works, why mess with it?
