Mayer's book also had a nice review in NY Times today as well as being the subject of Bob Herbert's column.
Wow, beautiful photo. What a dramatic memorial it is, even on dull days, and with the atmosphere in the photo above, it's brilliant.
An inspired moment of photography. Award worthy, dare I say.
The photograph shows the best exploitation of artistry combined with the diversity of nature.
Congress has authority to enforce the Law of the Seas, according to the Constitution. This was a way to combat piracy, which was the terrorist act of its day.
You think anyone would tell the decider this fact?
Congress has power "to make rules concerning captures on land or water." Art.I, sec.VIII
As for Cheney's extra constitutional trespass, the same could be done regarding him. The President Pro Tem, acting in place of the Vice President, doesn't appear to be restricted from exercising the full role of office that the VP employs.
That of course would mean full access to classified materials withheld for the cause of privilege.
The only to deal with radicals, is radically.
As for Impeachment, it says no person can be removed from immunity for liability in such cases. No wonder Rep.Pelosi took it off the table for Bush. They let President Clinton get sued, no less. Nice of you 'leaders' to hold consistent standards to the office.
